He has spoken at many training programs convened by the American Arbitration Association and the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service on whose arbitration panels he serves. Mr. Brent graduated from Oberlin College and Hofstra Law School and is a Fellow of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers. For many years, he has been an officer and board member of several charitable and other non-profit organizations in Princeton, New Jersey, where he and his wife Sally Steinberg-Brent, who is also an arbitrator, live and where they raised their three children. Adam, Lily, and Howard now residewith their spouses Courtney, Jonathan, andCharlie Emma in San Francisco, Atlanta, and Brooklyn. Most significantly, he recently achieved the long-awaited status of being called “Danpa”.
