Associate Attorneys (2+ Years' Experience)

Tedesco Law Group
Oregon

The Tedesco Law Group is seeking to hire 1-2 associate attorneys with two or more (2+) years of experience and a demonstrable commitment to the labor movement or similar experience advocating for workers or employees. TLG represents labor unions in all aspects of labor relations in both the public and private sectors. This includes representing unions in grievance and interest arbitration cases, unfair labor practice and representation cases before the NLRB and state agencies such as the Oregon Employment Relations Board and Washington Public Employment Relations Commissions, civil cases in federal and state courts, and appeals. TLG attorneys frequently assist or serve as the chief negotiator for unions in collective bargaining with employers and provide general advice to unions on a wide variety of topics. In addition, TLG attorneys defend union members and other individuals in licensing board and ethics investigations and act as general counsel for several unions. More about the firm and our practice can be found at www.tedescolawgroup.com. The ideal candidate must be licensed in Oregon or have the ability to obtain admission by reciprocity in Oregon by the time of hire. Extra consideration will be given to lawyers licensed in ID, WA, AK, CO, NV, or CA. Candidates should have strong academic credentials and excellent oral and written communication skills. Candidates must be professional, comfortable working with clients of all backgrounds, and be able to exercise independent judgment while knowing when to ask for assistance from colleagues/partners. Our work can be complex and fast-paced and requires strategic thinking and the ability to work collaboratively. Our office is located on NE Broadway in the Irvington neighborhood. Partial work from home/remote arrangements are possible. Attorneys are expected to work independently without the need for a high degree of supervision and are expected to be accountable for their billable time and quality of work. Litigation or negotiation experience is a plus. Because we have clients in multiple regions and states, candidates must be willing to travel overnight for work on occasion. Salary DOE. TLG offers a competitive benefit package, including health insurance and retirement.
