Staff Attorney

SEIU Local 721
California

SEIU Local 721 has an opening for an attorney to represent members in civil service proceedings and the union in arbitration, grievance mediation and settlement discussions, and unfair labor practice proceedings and litigation relating to grievance-arbitration. Must be admitted in California. (For applicants awaiting bar results, employment is contingent on admission.)

Local 721 is a dynamic and fast-growing labor organization that represents over 97,000 publicly-funded members in six counties in Southern California. Its members provide public services in diverse fields, including health care, social services, special districts, private non-profits, libraries, courts, parks and recreation, public works, and mental health. They care for the sick, protect the quality of drinking water, keep records in the courts, administer benefits for those in need, maintain the libraries, help run the jails, protect our communities’ most vulnerable members, maintain the streets, work with parolees, maintain the beaches, and provide many other services to keep counties and cities running.

Local 721 provides an excellent benefits package. Women, people of color, and LGBTQ people are encouraged to apply.
