ERISA Attorney
Melville, New York

New York firm with active Regional labor employee benefits practice, seeks an attorney with 3-6 years’ experience to represent multiemployer benefit funds on complex ERISA technical, administrative and litigation matters. Matters handled include but are not limited to, counselling retirement funds (defined benefit and defined contribution), welfare, apprenticeship and other supplemental fringe benefit funds on their daily operations and to ensure compliance with Federal and State laws. Candidate will also be responsible for reviewing plan documents and revising accordingly to comply with the Internal Revenue Code and ERISA. Candidate will also counsel Trustees and other fiduciaries during investigations conducted by the Department of Labor, Internal Revenue Service, and in similar administrative or judicial matters involving employee benefit plans. The position contemplates significant independent responsibility and direct client interaction.
