Dowd, Bloch, Bennett, Cervone, Auerbach & Yokich, LLP
Illinois

Dowd, Bloch, Bennett, Cervone, Auerbach & Yokich, LLP, is a Chicago firm that represents local, intermediate level, and international unions in many fields, including construction, transportation, manufacturing, service, and the public sector, along with many employee benefit funds. We are seeking an attorney to work with both representation of union clients and employee benefit funds.

The ideal candidate for the position will have at least three years of experience in employee benefits law or union-side labor law. However, candidates with less than three years of experience and recent graduates are welcome to apply and we would also welcome applications from lawyers with more experience, including experience working in the labor movement or for benefit funds or the government. Responsibilities will include working for union clients in traditional labor law matters and advising trustees and personnel of multiemployer plans on administration, compliance issues, and engaging in plan-related litigation.

The candidate should have a commitment to the labor movement. DBBCAY exists to serve organized labor and to protect workers’ rights and improve the lives of working people. More information about our firm is available on our website, laboradvocates.com.
Salary will be commensurate with experience.

To apply, please send a cover letter, resume, unedited writing sample, and list of references to jpdowd@laboradvocates.com and erowe@laboradvocates.com. Candidates with less than one year of experience should also include a copy of their law school transcript.

DBBCAY is an equal-opportunity employer and strongly encourages minorities, women, persons with disabilities, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and persons with other under-represented backgrounds to apply.
