Fellowships & Career Paths: Alumni Perspectives
Friday, October 18, 2019

This is a pre-conference activity open to students (but not to Peggy Browning Fellows) who arrive early for the conference. The Peggy Browning Fund is proud that, with this year's class of 88 new Peggy Browning Fellows, we will have over 1,000 talented alumni across the country.  The PBF network extends widely and for over 20 years has helped shape the careers of hundreds of workers' rights and public interest attorneys.  70% of our alumni can be found in international and local union legal departments, public defenders' offices, legal aid, nonprofit and human rights organizations, labor-side and employment firms, as well as in all levels of government.  This workshop will feature alumni from the DC-MD-VA area who will talk about their PBF experiences and how their fellowships helped them embark on a career of workers' rights advocacy. Information and advice will also be provided on how to apply for a fellowship for 2020.
