Murphy Anderson PLLC is a small, innovative union-side labor firm seeking a second-year law student as a summer associate in its Washington office. Our firm was formed on Labor Day 2008, to represent unions, employee-benefit funds and workers seeking justice. We represent unions in all sectors of the economy, with a particular focus on finding creative ways to ehlp workers to organize.
We also have a growing and energetic wage-and-hour practice, an appellate practice and a whistleblower practice, fighting fraud in health care, military procurement and the construction industry using the False Claims Act and similar SEC and IRS programs. We are committed to community service and expanding workers' power in society.
The successful candidate must be an excellent writer with strong academic credentials and a demonstrated commitment to workers' rights and/or public service. Spanish fluency is a plus. Labor and employment law coursework is also a plus.
The stipend for this ten-week fellowship is $800/week.
