San Francisco Inaugural Awards Reception - Opens West Coast to Broaden Program

Thursday, November 8th, 2012

The first Peggy Browning Awards Reception on the West Coast on October 3rd was well-received and very well attended. Recognizing the achievements of two stalwart leaders of the labor community, guests paid homage to Art Pulaski, Executive Secretary-Treasurer of the California Labor Federation and Duane Beeson, Esq., of Beeson, Tayer and Bodine.

Members of the reception Host Committee were also very excited at the prospect of assisting the Peggy Browning Fund in broadening its Summer Fellowship Program on the West Coast.  Planning for the event began in the summer of 2011 and members of the Host Committee included former and current Peggy Browning Fellows - Lindsay Nicholas, PBF '08, of the Leonard Carder firm and Meghan Clair, PBF '12, who shared her Summer Fellowship experience at Unite Here Local 2 as a speaker during the awards program.
