Levy Ratner, P.C. (Summer 2026)
Law Firm
New York, NY
This is the Summer 2026 fellowship description for this mentor organization.
Levy Ratner has successfully represented unions and working people for more than 50 years. Many of the firm's 18 active lawyers have national reputations in the field of labor and employment law and extensive expertise handling complex, precedent-setting cases. The firm is committed to protecting and expanding workers’ rights through union organizing, collective bargaining, administrative proceedings, and litigation in state, federal and bankruptcy courts.
We currently serve as general counsel to the largest and fastest-growing local health care union in the country. Our other clients are international and local unions representing workers in a wide variety of industries, employee benefit funds, and individual employees and groups of employees.
We seek a full-time, in-person Peggy Browning Fellow with a commitment to workers’ rights to support us in all of our practice areas, primarily through legal research and writing. Our Fellows will also have opportunities to work directly with clients and to observe and assist with collective bargaining, arbitrations, administrative proceedings and/or litigation.
Essential qualifications: excellent research and writing skills, labor law coursework, and the ability to work under short deadlines.
BIPOC students are strongly encouraged to apply and if selected for the fellowship will have the opportunity to attend the AFL-CIO’s Diversity, Outreach, Opportunities and Recruitment (DOOR) Law Clerk Networking Conference in D.C.
This fellowship is for rising 3Ls only. We provide a stipend of $1,120.00/week.
Please include with your application: cover letter, resume, unedited writing sample, law school transcript (and if known but not listed therein, the classes you are taking and will have taken by next summer) to:
