Peer, Gan, Gisler & Favreau LLP was established in 1998. The Firm represents unions and employees in the private and public sectors, and in several industries, including Postal, printing, packaging, and production. The Firm is general counsel to one of the major U.S. Postal Service unions and handles all of the Postal Union’s arbitration and litigation work, including handling cases before the NLRB and DOL. Additionally, the Firm leads the Postal Union’s collective bargaining efforts and manages a team of consultants.
The Firm also has an active employment law practice, representing professional employees in a wide variety of employment settings in employment contract negotiations, separation matters, and in arbitration. For more than 25 years, the firm has also represented the interests of hundreds of clergypersons in employment contract negotiations with their religious institutions.
The Firm is seeking a full-time summer law clerk to start in May 2026 for a 10-11 week period. The summer law clerk would assist in research and writing projects for our attorneys in a wide variety of labor and employment matters, and frequently will be given the opportunity to attend arbitrations, union meetings, and/or collective bargaining sessions related to their projects. The position requires strong legal research and writing skills, and coursework in basic labor and employment law is preferred. We also value prior experience in the labor movement, as well as a demonstrated interest in labor law and employment law. Applicants must be 2Ls (meaning they will be rising 3Ls during their clerk summer). Please note this is an in-person position, but per firm policy, attorneys and law clerks may choose to work remotely on Fridays.
Law clerks will be paid $1,200 per week.
