Since 1963, the attorneys at Reid, Ballew, & Leahy have devoted their practice to advancing the interests of working people. The firm represents unions in both private and public sectors throughout the Pacific Northwest in arbitration, unfair labor practice proceedings, civil litigation, and more. We also represent multi-employer trust funds that provide pension and health and welfare benefits to employees covered by collective bargaining agreements.
The full-time, in-person Peggy Browning Fellow will assist attorneys with helping unions and workers in a variety of matters, which could include grievance arbitrations, interest arbitrations, organizing, unfair labor practice complaints, and civil litigation. The Fellow will be assigned an assortment of projects, which could include legal research and writing, arbitration preparations, reviewing contracts, interviewing clients or witnesses, drafting briefs or letters, and assisting with any other matter that may arise. The Fellow will also have potential opportunities to observe and directly assist with arbitrations, administrative hearings, or court proceedings.

We are seeking a fellow with a strong interest in labor law, who possesses excellent research, analysis, and writing skills, and interpersonal skills to engage with clients, workers, and others.

Reid, Ballew & Leahy will pay the fellow a stipend of $10,000 for the 10-week period.
