Murphy Anderson PLLC is a small, innovative union-side labor firm seeking a law student as a summer associate in its Washington office. Our firm was formed on Labor Day 2008, to represent unions, employee-benefit funds and workers seeking justice. We represent unions in all sectors of the economy, with a particular focus on helping workers organize.

We also have an energetic wage-and-hour practice, an appellate practice and a whistleblower practice, fighting fraud in health care, military procurement and construction using the False Claims Act and similar SEC and IRS programs. We are committed to community service and expanding workers' power in society.

The successful candidate must be an excellent writer with strong academic credentials and a demonstrated commitment to workers' rights and/or public service. Spanish fluency is a plus. Labor and employment law coursework is also a plus. Minority candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.

The stipend for this ten-week fellowship is $1,025/week for 10 to 12 weeks.

In addition to the basic application requirements (cover letter, application form, essays, resume), applicants for this fellowship must also include a brief legal writing sample and current transcript.

This is an in-person position.
