Alumni Association Launches New Chapter in Washington, DC!

Monday, August 15th, 2016

The PBF Alumni Association launched its fourth chapter in Washington, DC in July. Fellowship alumni from across DC met and quickly created a listserv for alumni to communicate and nominated coordinators to organize areas of interest.

Those areas will focus on social networking, professional development, mentorship for alumni who have newly graduated from law school, community engagement and activism.

On July 27th, the chapter organized its first event - a social gathering and happy hour for all DC-area alumni and 2016 PBF Summer Fellows in the area.  The event was successful and the chapter looks forward to scheduling various future activities.  If you are interested in becoming more active in the DC Chapter, please contact PBF Program Specialist, Julia Watkins at jwatkins@peggybrowningfund.org and she will put you in contact with the appropriate chapter coordinators.
