Downtown Columbus, Ohio union labor firm with over forty years of experience representing working people seeks an attorney with at least two years of experience to join its private sector labor group.

Position Includes:

  • All phases of litigation in State and Federal Courts throughout the State of Ohio, including:
    • Drafting pleadings, motions and briefs;
    • Researching arguments;
    • Discovery, including drafting requests, reviewing documents and conducting depositions;
    • Court appearances; and
    • Client meetings and communications.
  • Administrative proceedings, including before the National Labor Relations Board, Ohio Civil Rights Commission, and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
  • Representation of union clients in arbitration proceedings.
  • Advice and consultation to union clients and Taft-Hartley jointly administered apprenticeship plans.
  • Assistance in collective bargaining negotiations, including:
    • Consulting;
    • Drafting proposals;
    • Attending negotiations.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Ohio
  • Detail oriented
  • Strong research, writing and analytical skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Self-sufficient
  • Organizational skills necessary to maintain and manage numerous and varied work projects
  • Ability to travel throughout the State of Ohio; including occasional overnight travel

Compensation

  • Salary range $80,000 to $95,000 depending on experience and qualifications
