Gorlick Kravitz & Listhaus, P.C. (“GKL”) is a union-side Labor and ERISA law firm with a 30-year history of commitment to union values and the power of organized labor. We represent unions in the construction industry as well as the unions’ associated benefit funds which provide pensions and health care benefits to the union members.

 

GKL has an open position for a junior ERISA attorney. The role includes:

 

· Representing unions, union benefit plans, union members and other clients in a variety of Labor, Employment & ERISA issues;

· Support union clients in NLRB proceedings, arbitrations and grievances;

· Drafting memoranda and other plan documents;

· Assist with the preparation and participate in negotiations for mediations and settlement conferences;

· Research and other support for partners advising unions and multi-employer benefit plans on compliant day-to-day operations of their institutions.

 

Qualifications:

· 0-2 years of experience;

· Admission to the New York bar (or able to gain admission within one year);

· Strong research and writing skills;

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written); and

· A high level of attention to detail and organization.

 

This role is full-time and in office (located in the Financial District of NYC)

 

Pay: $80,000 - $90,000 per year
